Douglas Connell CMIOSH is the
Branch Chair for 2008/09, and also chairs the Branch's Environmental
Specialist Group.
He is an Environmental Health & Safety
Programme Manager with Hewlett-Packard in the UK, based at their Erskine
Campus. Prior to this, Douglas worked in the electronics manufacturing
sector with IBM and Compaq, and for pre-privatisation British Rail. He has
been a Member of IOSH since 1988, and is also a Member of IEMA and a
Registered Occupational Hygienist. |

Bill Smith
CFIOSH is Immediate Past Chair. He has over 30 years experience in health
and safety, particularly within local authorities and latterly within
further education. He has been a member of IOSH throughout that time. |

Gerry Gordon
CFIOSH is Branch Treasurer and past Chairman. Gerry has been a member of
IOSH since 1977 and has served on the Executive Committee since 1982, and
became Treasurer in 1984. He is the head of the Health and Safety Section
within West Dunbartonshire Council and has been a health and safety
practitioner since 1976, with experience in the Shipbuilding Industry and
Local Government. |

John Donaldson CMIOSH
is Health and Safety Advisor
for Central Scotland Police and has worked in the electronics, tanning and
management consultancy sectors.
He has
been the Branch Secretary since 1998, and has been a member of IOSH
since 1996. |

Kevin
Davidson
CMIOSH is
the Director of Health & Safety for JSK Property Services Ltd. Kevin
joined IOSH in 1995 after working to management level from a
trades background. His previous experience includes working within both
the private and public sectors for MCG companies and Local Councils. An
additional part of his role within JSK is to deliver training programmes
for the company and also deliver CITB training |

Brian Hume CMIOSH
has been employed by Balfour Beatty Civil
Engineering Ltd. for 28 years and in January 2001 was appointed Regional Safety Manager for Scotland. Brian has been a member of IOSH since 1984. |

Heather Kerr CChem MRSC CMIOSH is a
health and safety adviser with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.
She transferred to SEPA from the Clyde River Purification Board in 1996 and
spent 18 years as an environmental analytical chemist before changing
career. Heather provides health advice to managers and staff across the
organisation and delivers in-house training on Risk Assessment, Manual
handling and CoSHH. Heather is Branch Minutes Secretary |

Alan Kirkwood CMIOSH, AIEMA
is Quality, Safety & Environmental Manager for George Leslie Ltd and the
Joint Venture Partnership, Biwater Leslie JV. He has been a Health &
Safety Practitioner for 15 years, serving both the private and public
sectors and with experience in civil engineering, building construction,
support services, ship repair and the rail industries. |

Keith Underhill
MBA CFIOSH MCMI MNI is a former Branch Chairman and
is Director of a Business Management
consultancy. Prior to this he
worked for Caledonian MacBrayne Ltd and insurers Aviva (Norwich Union)
in management roles and with Aviva as a specialist
risk surveyor. He has
been a member of IOSH since 1991 and was elected to the Branch Executive in
April 2000. He was appointed to serve on the IOSH
Commercial Committee in November 2005 and joined the IOSH Board of
Trustees in November 2006. |
